Finance Business Partner

What you’ll do

1. 01Business finance: Develop a deep understanding of our business model (expert network, data delivery, and AI model company clients) and help shape pricing strategy and analyze cost structures and project profitability.
2. 02Business finance: Build financial models to support business planning, fundraising valuations, and investor communications.
3. 03Business finance: Prepare regular financial reports for investors, support fundraising due diligence, and independently prepare audit and DD materials.
4. 04Business finance: Identify and apply for tax incentives available to AI startups, including high-tech enterprise certification and R&D super-deductions, and proactively pursue policy benefits for the company.
5. 05Core accounting: Build and maintain the company’s accounting system; manage daily bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, and expense reimbursements.
6. 06Core accounting: Calculate and process payroll, social insurance contributions, and housing fund contributions.
7. 07Core accounting: File monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and ensure tax compliance.
8. 08Core accounting: Manage service fee payments for the expert network, handling service contracts, individual income tax withholding, and payment compliance for a large number of external experts.
9. 09Core accounting: Manage relationships with external accounting and audit firms.
10. 10Contracts and compliance: Review contracts with external parties, including customer service agreements, expert service contracts, supplier contracts, and NDAs; identify risky clauses and recommend revisions.
11. 11Contracts and compliance: Create standard contract templates for recurring needs to reduce the cost of drafting contracts individually.
12. 12Contracts and compliance: Help manage licensing and usage rights for data assets.
13. 13Contracts and compliance: Maintain corporate records, including business registrations, shareholder resolutions, and changes in equity ownership.
14. 14Contracts and compliance: Coordinate with external counsel on complex legal matters and track progress.

What we look for

1. 01A bachelor’s degree or higher from a full-time program in financial management, accounting, finance, or a related field, plus 3+ years of finance experience; experience providing financial support to business teams is preferred.
2. 02Strong data processing and analytical skills, clear logical thinking, and the ability to proactively advance business initiatives.
3. 03Strong curiosity about how the business works, with the ability to approach finance from a business perspective and provide professional financial advice on business issues.
4. 04CPA certification or an intermediate-level or higher professional accounting title is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience as a finance business partner or independently leading the finance function at an AI, data services, or technology company.
• Experience managing large volumes of flexible staffing arrangements or service contracts.
• Experience at a Big Four or other accounting firm.
• Familiarity with data compliance, including the basics of China’s Personal Information Protection Law and Data Security Law.
• Familiarity with accounting and tax treatment for cross-border business operations.
