Finance Domain Expert (Part-time)

We’re building challenging, long-horizon finance tasks and evaluation frameworks for large AI models. We’re looking for a senior finance expert to break down real-world workflows into structured task maps and design tasks and scoring criteria based on real business scenarios for model training and evaluation. This is not a traditional research role: you’ll turn your professional methods into standards for models.

What you’ll do

  1. 01Collaborate with the data product and engineering teams by taking part in interviews, reviewing materials, and using the platform.
  2. 02Build task maps: Break down real-world finance workflows into a structured catalog of tasks, defining the inputs, steps, outputs, and difficulty levels for each task type.
  3. 03Design tasks: Use the task maps to create high-quality tasks that distinguish between ability levels, cover foundational through advanced skills, and reflect real business scenarios.
  4. 04Set standards: Write clear, reproducible reference answers and scoring rubrics that specify what earns credit, common errors, and how to score borderline cases.
  5. 05Ensure quality: Review tasks and annotations, resolve ambiguous or disputed assessments using your professional judgment, and continually refine the standards.

What we look for

  1. 01At least 3 years of experience in relevant roles, such as sell-side research analyst, IBD analyst, FOF researcher, wealth planner, credit analyst, quantitative researcher, auditor at an accounting firm, corporate investment or financing professional, or securities affairs professional at a listed company; continued involvement in similar work over the past 3 years is preferred.
  2. 02Ability to present your work in formats such as PPT, Excel, and PDF.
  3. 03Strong analytical skills and precise writing, with the ability to break down complex professional work into clear, structured tasks and standards.
  4. 04Strong communication skills and the ability to explain tacit expertise clearly to teams without a finance background.
  5. 05CFA / FRM qualifications or a finance or accounting background from a top university preferred.

Nice to have

  • Teaching or mentoring experience.

Working arrangement

Remote or on-site, project-based work. At least 8 hours per week, with a recommended commitment of 1 month or longer. Pay: RMB 600–800 per hour, with the rate determined individually.
